Ashley is a pianist and conductor studying with Eugene Asti at Trinity Laban. His performances have taken him across the UK to many top venues such as St Martin-in-the-Fields and Wigmore Hall, as well as soloist and ensemble appearances throughout Europe. Most recently, he was the winner of the prestigious English Song Competition for Voice and Piano in February 2015 at Trinity Laban with baritone James Newby, and has been a finalist in all the other voice and piano competitions at the college.
He works as a répétiteur for Glyndebourne Opera House, and has worked for the Royal Opera House Learning and Participation Department. He is the current music director of PuzzlePiece Opera, Bellerby’s College Choir and the St. Olave Hart Street Choir. Ashley and Vic have been working together for just over a year, as the Meridian Duo – specialising in Romantic and early Modern British and Franco-Belgian repertoire.
