Description
The programme is a series of new commissions commemorating the 100th anniversary of the death of Erik Satie, by composers including Philip Grange, Stef Conner, Fred Viner, Sarah Dacey, Karen Markham, Steve Plews, Sarah Thomas, Simon Hopkins, Jenny Jackson and others. Each composer has been asked to write a new miniature piano solo influenced or inspired in some way by the music of Satie, and the new commissions will be played by Duncan Honeybourne interspersed alongside a selection of Satie’s own pieces.
