In recent years, organisations like ours have faced growing pressure as public funding becomes more competitive and, in many cases, reduced. Securing support from Arts Council England is no longer something even established organisations can rely on year to year.
For small, specialist organisations working in contemporary and experimental music, this creates a difficult reality: the very work that is most innovative and culturally vital is often the hardest to fund.
