Exploring how composers have responded to art, from Mussorgsky to the present day, the Late Music Ensemble perform a new arrangement of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, Stravinsky’s little-known miniature tribute to Pablo Picasso (in a variety of different versions), songs by Captain Beefheartand David Byrne, and new works responding to the art of Bridget Riley, John Martin, Sophie Taeuber-Arp and others.
