Rachel Fryer (piano) is in demand both as soloist and accompanist across the South East. Rachel has recorded and performed Bach’s Goldberg Variations and curated a project called Variations down the line which commissioned 5 composers to each write 3 new variations using ideas from Bach’s Goldbergs
Rachel is Founder and Concert Director of Music and Wine at St. Luke’s, a concert series in Queen’s Park, Brighton. She is passionate about education work and, in addition to an active teaching practice, has performed for the Brighton Philharmonic Chamber music series and worked with education projects including Glyndebourne Youth Opera, Orchestra of Sound and Light and Kidenza and Opera Brava.
In the York Late Music lunchtime concert (1 April 2023), Rachel is paired with Ivana Perenic (cello). Rachel and Ivana have been playing together for over five years, during which time they have explored a wide variety of repertoire including touring with the Women’s composers’ collective Illuminate which included several world premieres.
